Ochre Education is delighted to announce a new partnership with the National Catholic Education Commission (NCEC) to develop comprehensive curriculum resources for Years 7 and 8 mathematics teachers in Catholic schools.

Ochre will partner with the NCEC and select dioceses across the country to develop Years 7 and 8 Mathematics materials and aligned professional learning support. We are delighted to be working with teachers from Catholic schools from across the country to develop the materials.

The first materials will be made available in Term 4 this year, for use from Term 1, 2024.

Materials developed will include:

  • curriculum maps to support schools’ planning
  • adaptable and editable classroom materials
  • professional learning to support teachers to implement resources with rigour and fidelity.
  • additional resources to support intervention for Year 7 and 8 students who have gaps in foundational numeracy skills.

All Ochre lessons embed high-impact teaching practices. Resources will be
mapped to the Australian Curriculum Version 9.0, the new NSW Syllabus, and the
Victorian Curriculum version 2.0.

We are incredibly excited to be collaborating with the NCEC to support their national priority to drive the continual improvement of educational outcomes for all students.

As a national education charity, we at Ochre are looking forward to the opportunity to share the resources created with all teachers, through making them freely available on the Ochre website. We thank the NCEC for their generosity in allowing us to share these materials in this way, to support all students and their teachers.
