Example annotated unit plans

The following example lesson plans are supplementary resources which complement a selection of Ochre lessons developed in partnership with AERO. They include guidance on how the lesson was structured and sequenced within the unit. They are annotated by teachers to explicitly show some of the decisions that are made during the planning process.

How they can be used

The plans can be used to support teachers to use the accompanying resources.

They allow teachers to see the way lessons can be sequenced and how formative assessment is planned. This detail will help teachers reflect on their own planning and guide future planning.

They can also be used as a starting point for discussions with colleagues to build collective capacity for lesson and unit planning.
