Teacher-Creators
What we are looking for
We would love to hear from you if you would be interested in working with us as we expand our curriculum offering and lesson bank in 2023.
We are planning significant upcoming lesson production sprints, and are eager to find expert evidence-based teachers keen to join the 150+ Ochre team team, and share their practice. We are particularly looking for teachers interested in developing F-6 maths and English lessons.
-
“I have loved working with Ochre. I was drawn to this project as we have aligned values – ALL kids deserve access to high-quality education, no matter their circumstances. In creating my learning resources, I have expanded my teaching skills and professional knowledge… and had an incredible support crew to help me.”
Next steps
To ensure your participation please submit a sample resource by 4 June. Further details on how to apply and on submitting a sample resource can be found below.
Teacher Induction and Training Camp Overview
- Ochre purpose and pedagogy: An overview of our organisation, guiding principles of instruction, instruction cycle, lesson creation workflow procedures to ensure seamless induction into our educational family.
- Curriculum and Assessment: Deep dive into our curriculum frameworks to foster practical, explicit lesson design and successful student learning outcomes.
- Ochre IT Integration: Exploring our drive, systems, naming conventions, production trackers, keyword database and common image folder.
Key Focus Areas
Interactive Workshop: Throughout the two days, attendees can participate in interactive workshops facilitated by experienced Ochre educators. These will allow teachers to engage in hands-on creation, collaborate with peers, navigate around our drive and lesson templates and develop lesson-creation skills. The training camp will be an excellent opportunity for new teachers to familiarise themselves with the tools and materials they can utilise to enhance their teaching practices.
Networking and Collaboration: In addition to the informative sessions and workshops, break-out rooms will allow you networking opportunities and encourage collaboration to build relationships and you build lesson units of materials, share best practice, and learn from one another’s experiences.
